DR. JANIE BARNES

Dr. Janie Barnes is the school’s referral resource teacher for students who may need or want specialized instruction outside our curriculum. The school refers students to Dr. Barnes for tutoring in all subjects and individualized & specialized instruction.

My name is Janie Barnes, EdD.  The compassion I have towards educating those students who feel they cannot achieve an education, and those who feel like giving up because of the pressures of life is just too much to bear; I have great news for you…there is hope and there is a future for you in achieving an education.

My goal has always been wanting to receive these particular students to encourage them, motivate them, and go on this journey with them by showing compassion and understanding.  Helping them master their goal/s in education to become productive individuals in society.

My journey in education began in 2005 at Chipola Jr. College at that time in the Continuing Education Building (graduating), then achieving my AA Degree in 2008, BA Degree in 2009, MA Degree in 2012, and Doctorate Degree in 2018, all in education. I achieved The Chancellor Scholarship of Academic Excellence in 2013, Scholarships in essay writings, and through contests.

I have taught through substitution, para, 6-12th Literature class, Bible, English, and Science classes in Marianna, FL. I am a firm believer: “He makes the whole body fit together perfectly.  As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow” (Ephesians 4:16 NLT). This is the way the school should work, each individual doing his/her part for the success of the students…all will benefit.  As we know, there are something’s we will never learn on our own, because we only learn from within the community.  To grow and develop to our potential, we must learn from other people.

If your student needs tutoring, and you would like to speak with Dr. Barnes about how she can help your student, please email her at the school. In your email, please enter TUTORING in the subject line and send email to: help@mastersacademy.online
